August 2026

You don't have to do this alone anymore.

For families.

You have been your child's first and most important advocate. At Amazingly Uplifted Academy, you are part of this team.

You are part of this team

School and home, in sync.

We don't just welcome family involvement. We depend on it. Research is clear that children with special needs make the greatest progress when school and home are working together.

From the moment you enroll to the last day of 2nd grade, you will always know what's happening with your child, why we're doing what we're doing, and how you can support their growth at home.

How we keep you connected

Communication that doesn't feel like a chore to chase down.

1

Direct Teacher Communication

Phone, email, or text access to your child's teacher. No runarounds, no waiting weeks for a response.

2

Regular Progress Reports

Formal progress reports throughout the year on ILP goals and academic benchmarks. No surprises. Just clear, honest updates.

3

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Scheduled conferences to sit down together, review progress, and align on next steps. Your voice matters in every meeting.

Family engagement opportunities

Three ways we welcome you in.

Family Orientation

Before school opens in August 2026, all enrolled families are invited to meet the staff, see the classrooms, and help your child feel safe before day one.

ILP Training for Parents

Sessions that walk you through how ILPs work, what the goals mean, how progress is measured, and how to advocate effectively.

Home Strategies & Resources

Practical tools and resources so you can reinforce learning at home with communication, behavior, and sensory-friendly strategies.

A perk for you too

Free access to the Phase coworking space.

School drop-off doesn't always mean your day gets easier. AUA families have free access to the Phase Learning Center coworking space, a professional, quiet workspace right here in the building where your child learns. Stay close. Get work done. Know your child is just down the hall.

Support isn't something we add on. It's woven into everything we do.

A school built around the whole child.

Academic growth matters deeply, and so does everything that makes learning possible: feeling safe, being able to communicate, navigating emotions, building the confidence to try.

Behavior support

Behavior science in every classroom.

Behavior support isn't a reactive measure here. It's a proactive, school-wide approach embedded into the culture of our building. Our staff includes a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who bring behavior analytic expertise directly into the educational environment.

This is not a clinical ABA therapy program. It is something arguably more powerful for a school setting. Behavior science woven seamlessly into instruction, classroom structure, transitions, and daily routines so every part of your child's day is set up for success.

1

Functional Understanding of Behavior

We don't just respond to what a student does. We work to understand why, and address the root cause with compassion and skill.

2

Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)

For students who need individualized behavior support, we develop and implement meaningful BIPs in close collaboration with families.

3

Crisis Prevention & De-escalation

Our staff are trained in proactive strategies to prevent escalation and respond safely and supportively when students are in distress.

Sensory support

Space to move. Space to regulate.

For many of our students, sensory regulation is the foundation everything else is built on. A child who is overwhelmed cannot learn, no matter how good the lesson is. Located inside Phase Learning Center, AUA students have access to a spacious gym and indoor playground throughout the school day as intentional movement and regulation spaces.

These are not consequence spaces. They are built into our daily rhythm because movement and sensory support are not interruptions to learning. They are part of it.

Social skills instruction

Learning to connect.

For students with autism and intellectual disabilities, social skills are not something to assume. They are something to teach, explicitly and consistently. Social skills instruction is a structured part of our school day. Students learn to initiate conversations, navigate conflict, understand emotions, take turns, collaborate, and build friendships, skills that will serve them for life.

Related services

Therapy, coordinated.

We partner with trusted third-party therapy agencies to ensure students can access Speech-Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and ABA services, all scheduled during the school day and administered right here at our school. Our staff works closely with outside therapists so what happens in therapy is reinforced throughout the school day.
